At around 4-6 months your baby will be able to support its
own head. At this time you can try the upright sitting position.

Hold baby high above your shoulder and guide both feet with
your hand from inside the sling to sit baby on your hip or
front. Always check that the sling is well under baby's bottom.
Pull wadded material tight around back of babes head for support
and tuck excess material under your arm.
The
Joey Position
(for babies 3 months and up)
With the baby's back to the wearer, pull the
sling up in front of the baby, cross the legs. Check that
the bottom is lower than the feet and that the sling is
pulled up at the back so baby is secure. |
